Vlog is baa-a-a-ack!

It's been a long, hot summer. A busy one too. But never fear--CC has a new video for you!

We'd like to try to something new in the spirit of bringing our large organization together. The next several blogs will be dedicated to a mini-tour of each site to meet employees and show the unique members of our St. Luke's Elks Family.

This week its West Boise where Kristi McMahon, DPT is the manager. Her staff members include Tammy Seagrave, PT, Katie Zerr, PT, and Rebecca Watson holding the fort down as support staff along with the lone male: Will McMartin!

Please let us know if you like the videos and want to see more!!

p.s. The blog/video sharing torch has been handed from Liz Millard to Claudia. Forgive some first time glitches.

p.p.s. There's something unique on the walls of this clinic. I'll scrounge up a prize for the first person to send me the correct answer.

Breakfast Club: In Review

Yesterday, Wednesday, February 23rd, we had our first Breakfast Club at the noon hour....The main presentation was held in the Meridian Medical Center's conference rooms, and we had about 24 people in attendance, and another 6 to 11 on the phone (it fluctuated with work schedules).

Columbus reviewed the minutes from January and gave some updates on various developments, like the budget, association dues, participation in Leads Meetings, the status of Ontario, the EDM and EMR committees etc.

We then broke into small groups to discuss the following questions:
1)How can we improve communication
2)How can the organization show more appreciation for employees
3)How can we improve pay and benefits
4)Please highlight "upper" management concerns.

After some robust discussion on the above topics, there was some time for a short Question and Answer Session, for example "When you say we are doing 'better', what does that mean?", "What are the different members of upper management responsible for?", and "How can we have a better understanding of the Insurance Verification process?". We have emailed out the minutes, so can read them at your leisure!

Overall, we are pleased with the outcome of the Breakfast Club and look forward to each month where we can dive deeper into the framework that makes up our company and discover, together, how to make things better. I know we are all committed to listening, and making changes.

Thanks again for your input and all of the hard work do every day.
